Why we’re here

I started Project Search because I saw an opportunity to give businesses more.

I saw a chance to provide companies with the specialist regional services and support that they were crying out for. An opportunity to build a community of people and businesses that share our passion for Technology, Transformation and Digital Disruption.

There was a clear gap in the market for a locally based recruitment company that delivered a flexible and specialist service. A service that aligned with the rapidly moving technology landscape – while serving the needs of the organisations and people within it. Large old-fashioned recruitment companies are often constrained by big expensive offices and swelling headcounts of underperforming teams. These higher costs are inevitably passed on to the clients and internal hierarchies lead to a slower, more impersonal or transactional experience for both clients and candidates. I believed we could do better.

Project Search is here to change the way people recruit with a specialist, leaner more agile and digital service. A service that provides a personal experience along with better service and better results. Unlike many UK, US and EU-headquartered recruitment companies, we are local, with a deep understanding of the subtle cultural nuances that exist across Asia. We prioritise our clients here, with a team who lives and breathes the regions we serve. Investing back into the region to help build a better more sustainable future for Asia.

The Project Search Mission

So, what’s the problem we are trying to solve?

Most recruitment companies are old-fashioned, traditional and doggedly focused on “growing” to get a better sale price. This typical recruitment model results in teams made up of poor performers and a high turnover of employees. Often, in a business of hundreds of employees, only a handful of individuals will generate the majority of the revenue. I wanted to work for a company that took a different approach — fewer employees, with each person delivering at their highest level, according to their skillset.

At Project Search, our mission is to create and build a community of like-minded people that share our ethos and our passion for technology, transformation and innovation. Through our network of clients, candidates, recruiters and partners, we will create shared value and opportunities for everyone.
